Available today in MLB The Show 23, the Pennant Chase Program features players that won the MVP Award in their respective Postseasons. From Whitey Ford in 1961 to Jeremy Pena in 2022, and many more in between, you’ll find some of your favorite MLB MVPs in the Pennant Chase Program.
The Pennant Chase Program consists of 2 Stages. The Stage 1 Program maxes out at 85 Program Stars and does not carry over to Stage 2. Once Stage 2 has been unlocked, completing Stage 1 tasks will not grant Program Stars towards Stage 2 progression. As you progress through the Pennant Chase Program, you’ll earn multiple Pennant Chase Packs and Pennant Chase Choice Packs, as well as other rewards, that each contain their own group of 99 OVR player items.
In Stage 1, play Moments spotlighting the Program’s MVPs in some of their most memorable performances to start off your progress in the Program and add Awards Series Michael Wacha (97 OVR) to your lineup. Complete Missions, including a PXP Mission with Awards Series player items, to continue moving forward in the reward path and earn Awards Series Jackie Bradley Jr. Face-off against the Showdown Final Boss and pick-up Awards Series Jose Altuve (97 OVR). Try your hand at a Conquest Map to make Awards Series Rollie Fingers (99 OVR) the newest addition to your Diamond Dynasty squad. Collect at least 1 player item in the Pennant Chase Pack Collection and earn 85 Program Stars in Stage 1 to unlock Stage 2.
In Stage 2, Complete Missions, including a Repeatable PXP Mission, to earn even more amazing packs including more Pennant Chase and Pennant Chase Choice Packs.
Note: The Pennant Chase Pack Collection and the Event Collection appear in both Stage 1 and Stage 2 as options for earning even more Program Stars. Collections can only be completed once for Program Stars in either Stage.

Conquest Map
In this strategy-based game mode take turns attacking territories, stealing your opponents’ fans, reinforcing your territories, and moving your fans to control the Pennant Chase Conquest Map and earn more progress in the Program as well some amazing rewards including Stubs and Packs along the way.
Event
Winning games in the Pennant Chase Event lets you add even more MVPs to your lineup. Earn Awards Series Matt Holliday (97 OVR) at 5 wins, Awards Series Chris Taylor (97 OVR) at 20 wins, and, if you can snag 12 wins in one entry (12-1 or 12-0) before double elimination, Awards Series Alan Trammell (99 OVR).
