Just before the holiday break, we invited you to submit your favorite EventLab creations of 2022 for consideration in our first ever Golden Tank Awards! Named after our beloved mascot at Horizon Mexico, we’ve been so inspired by the talent and creativity on display in EventLab ever since Forza Horizon 5 released that it only felt fitting to bring it all together for this special occasion.
The community were invited to nominate events across five categories:
- Best Photo Location
- Best Drift Event
- Best Race Event
- Best Custom Ruleset
- EventLab Creation of the Year
And the entries certainly didn’t disappoint! Our team had so much fun playing them all. With an incredible level of creativity and passion on display, we created a short-list of our favorites inspired by your submissions before selecting the overall winner.
Below you can watch the replay of the Golden Tank Awards, which were presented by Playground Games during our January 2023 Let’s ¡Go! livestream.
You can find all the nominees and winners below, as well as the Share Code for each event so you too can experience them and have just as much fun as we did. We’ve also highlighted the winning EventLabs in PG Editor’s Choice for a limited time.

Experience the excitement of nailing the apex, as you power out and floor the straight into first place. These unique handcrafted locations demonstrate the speed and competition of racing.

These aspiring designers push the boundaries of what’s possible in a game mode by utilizing the custom rule editor.
This is it! Our personal favorite EventLab creations of 2022, all in one place. Trust us, it wasn’t easy to put together this list, let alone choose a winner!
